blah blah blah

wise men talk because they have something to say; fools because they have to say something.

i have to take these "professional development" classes for my work, and i was annoyed the other day when i was sitting in in of these classes, and a women kept interjecting her irrelevant facts and tidbits of knowledge. who cares lady! i truly believed she loved to hear the sound of her own voice, and hence her reasoning in becoming a teacher.

how frustrating it is to converse with individuals who are only interested in what they have to say, or what they think. then i think of the times i am not truly listening to someone, but trying to work out something intellectual in rebuttal. then i think of jasen and i's car conversations. usually the are interrupted with silence, which could be considered awkward, but actually are quite thoughtful. it's not about how much you say, but what you say.

wouldn't it be something if we actually listened.

hehe... i have a girl like that in my high school huddle... she can NeVeR give anything less than a 5 minute answer! i can almost see the wheels turning in her head as she 'listens' to other girls talk - trying so desparately to figure out how she can turn the conversation to herself!

but i know i'm guilty of that at times, too... some people just need so badly to be heard and understood... then again, some people just think they're the shit and want everyone to know how smart they are! :)

Oh man, there is this lady in a weekly meeting I have to sit in on and I really don't think she's all there or she's just really clueless. She says things that don't make sense, are irrelevant and then make our meeting go longer than it was supposed to. That makes me angry and not like her. Is that bad?
